I have always been fascinated by illusionists and imaginative play. The optical mystery they create by breaking a person's understanding of an image.

As a food photographer, I work a lot with food. I love bright colors that lift my spirits, and sweets, because for me this is the main association with childhood.

In my “Sweet Illusions” project, I decided to look at compositions from a new angle for myself: to create a photo collage as an illusion, turning two-dimensional space into three-dimensional. Each work is a printed photograph of a food composition I previously created, the top of which I “finish” with real food details.

With my works I want to captivate the viewer, make a puzzle, and play with imagination. I wish the viewer to be completely immersed into the image and get carefree joy that we feel being children and exploring the world around.
